According to The Sun, Watford have made a £10million bid for Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse.
The England international has been with Saints for his entire career, having first joined the club’s academy at the age of eight.
Now, however, he could be set for pastures new following Watford’s advances.
Ward-Prowse’s education at St Mary’s Stadium has seen him develop into a fine midfield operator. His technical ability makes him very tidy in possession and his brilliant delivery from set piece situations would be an asset at any club.

There is a sense though that Ward-Prowse’s development has stalled somewhat in recent years, and concerns that the 23-year-old may never reach his full potential have arisen. Perhaps a move would help revitalise his development and kick his career back into life.
If he is ever going to find his way back into the England set up, then he certainly needs to improve.
These Saints fans believe his progress would be better served by remaining on the South Coast though…
